The Society is run through a network of Branch Committees, and managed centrally by an elected Council comprising of the Honorary President, Vice-President, General Secretary, Honorary Treasurer, Membership Secretary and Journal Manager. Additionally there is a Journal Editor, Newsletter Editor and Conservation Officer. These positions are appointed by the Council.

Newsletter Editor

The new Newsletter editor is Michael Doel from the Central Branch. Michael has started to explore how the members would like to see the Newsletter evolve and will welcome any comments from members. Conservation Officer

Dr. David Green of the North-West Branch is the Russell Society Conservation Officer. A mineralogy professional David's qualifications and experience are ideal in this role to ensure that the mineralogical heritage of the UK is correctly identified, recorded and preserved in accordance with the aims of the Society.
