Thursday 28th June 2012 10:00 to 15:00: North Lakes Archaeology with Altitude. 500 years ago the Newlands Valley was a mining Klondike. Explore a fascinating world of adits and leats, spoil tips and “t’owd men”, of fortunes won and lost. 400m of ascent with some steep and rough ground. More information.
